I decided last year to shoot more sport action photography so have recently acquired a mint low mileage Canon EOS 1D Mk3. It should complement the 5D MkII's and would be a good backup for the weddings. Not really had chance to try it out over the winter, especially to try out the focus as this model did have some issues. But all seems fine and the 10 frames a second is pretty inpressive too.

The idea is to see if I can live with this heavy beast for wedding work and perhaps upgrade to the MkIV. But could I live without full frame? dont know will have to see.

Anyway took Ella out early this morning and tried out some action shots . It coped well with the contrasty light which was the auto focus issue and surprised how few actuallly missed. Those that missed were probably my error anyway.
